The former player of Gonzaga, the Lakers and Galatasaray moves to Italy
A familiar face to basketball fans on both sides of the Atlantic joined Dolomiti Energia Trentino and closes the 2021-22 roster, as the club announced.
Johnathan Williams (26, 2,06 m.) is the latest addition to the Italian club, which competed both in the 7DAYS EuroCup and of course in Legabasket. A product of Gonzaga University, who also played for two seasons in the NCAA with Missouri, played 23 games with the Los Angeles Lakers in the 2018-19 season (6.8 points and 4.3 rebounds per game) and another 35 in the G -League averaging 15.7 points and 8.7 rebounds.
In 2019 he played with Maccabi Rishon LeZion in Israel, getting a second NBA call by the Washington Wizards.
In 2020 he returned to Europe for Galatasaray, averaging 10.3 points and 7.3 rebounds. He finished the season in Germany with the Niners Chemnitz.
